A bicircadian incidence refers to actions, activities, or processes that recur once every two Circadian Units (DU). Many activities that must occur more frequently than once every several circadian units but would be burdensome to perform once every Circadian Unit instead take place only once every two Circadian Units, or bicircadianly, due to Illuminatian human sleep cycles and other common institutional cyclic periodicity.

Illuminatians frequently choose to engage in a variety of periodic activities only once every two Circadian Units, particularly when it would be burdensome or inconvenient for the activity or process in question to be performed as often as daily. This is a product of the relatively short duration of one Circadian Unit, which is based on the rotation of the Neonisi planet and has a duration of only roughly one half of the average Earth day.

The majority of Illuminatians choose to sleep on a bicircadian basis, approximately matching the duration of the sleep cycle of their ancient Earthly foreparents. Taking this sleep cycle into account, many would see it wasteful, inefficient, or even inconvenient to partake in many personal, social, or public activities once every Circadian Unit, as doing so would be more often than the average person's sleep cycle.

Many newspapers publish bicircadianly because a daily publication would be too resource-intensive and would not result in a significantly more efficacious coverage of news and events. Broadcast schedules for wireless and telekinephotocasting stations and networks tend to cycle on a bicircadian basis as well. Many economic and commercial processes happen only once every two Circadian Units, a phenomenon that, in turn, influences the frequency of a host of other business, industrial, and sociocultural activities.

Wherein there are 216 Circadian Units in one Annual Unit (AU), there are also an even number—108—of bicircadian incidences in one AU, making the further grouping of various commercial and governmental processes especially convenient.
