Flag of Illuminatia

There is no national flag of Illuminatia due to Illuminatian society's rejection of nationality, patriotism, and other potentially destructive forces associated with national identity.

Being that only one government exercises sovereignty over the entirety of all persons who live upon the planet of Neonisi, Illuminatia effectively exists as one nation even though the Illuminatian government does not identify itself as a nation or even as a national entity. As a result of the existence of this singular sovereign realm in a vacuum of any other competing or contrasting nations, states, kingdoms, empires, dominions, or tribes, Illuminatian culture has found no need to establish symbols of national identity.

Illuminatian society understands that tokens of national identity can promote irrational, exclusionary, and potentially destructive behavior among populations of people. In earthly human history, symbols of nationalism or patriotism representing geographic areas as well as ethnic groups have been known to be adopted by majority groups and insiders at the exclusion of minority groups and outsiders, causing oppression, tyranny, persecution, and worse societal ills. Thus, Illuminatia has agreed against adopting any flag, coat of arms, seal, emblem, motto, national anthem, or other symbolism that could be utilized in a nationalistic or patriotic manner.

When a symbol representing Illuminatia as a geographic entity is necessary, a simple graphical depiction of the geographical outline of the continent usually suffices.
