Freedom of speech in Illuminatia
The right to free speech in Illuminatia stands within a subset of communication rights, a category of civil rights considered inalienable and fully secure under Illuminatia's system of government and civic order.
Freedom of speech is represented by the first of the two prongs of communication rights delineated in Illuminatian civil and jurisprudential custom—the right to communication. This applies to the right to speak, write, demonstrate, assemble, or otherwise disseminate communication directly or via any medium so long as it doesn't alienate another's right to do the same.
The second prong of free speech rights considers one's right to be communicated to, and completes the concept of free speech by ensuring a citizen also has the right to be spoken to.
In additional to the legal system, free speech is encouraged by the structure of Illuminatia's mass media ecosystem via supports for mechanisms of free speech including letters to the editor and public access broadcasting.
