Near-Infinite Multiversal Ideational Differentiationism (NIMID) is a popular multiverse-compatible thought tradition observed in Illuminatia. Adherents of this thought tradition practice intentional positive thinking and an avoidance of ideating negative imagined realities in order to avoid creating negative or troublesome alternative realities in parallel multiversal duplications as a result of their mere conception or contemplation of such potential realities.

Near-Infinite Multiversal Ideational Differentiationism—or Nimidism, for short—relates the widely-accepted existence of a multiverse to the many-worlds interpretation of quantum mechanics. By acknowledging that multiversal duplications of the same original Lucidus population was understood to have come into existence within the Illuminatian population as a result of The Anomaly, Nimidists also believe, by extension, that these alternate realities are at least in-part created as the result of infinitely-cascading divergences in universal reality that exist in parallel to one another.

Nimidists believe that the multiversal duplications that populated Neonisi are imperfect copies of one another and that these Lucidus survivors have minuscule differences from their multiversal counterparts based on some unknown differentiation from the past of the multiverse from which they came.

Nimidists largely believe that every time a subject so much as conceives or ideates a particular reality that does or does not come to fruition in the observer's personal reality, this ideation does in actuality become reality in an alternate multiversal universe. A Nimidist believes that the environment you interact with—including the people within it—exist in numerous alternate dimensions and that a new one of these duplications is triggered each time any real decision is made as well as any time a differing reality is so much as conceived of. Nimidism holds that not only is an alternate reality created when one of two or more different decisions or actions creates a "branch point" in the linear progression of reality—but that one of these points of divergence is also created somewhere in the multiverse if a different decision or reality is so much as imagined by a sentient being such as humans.

As a result of this belief, a Nimidist will practice a philosophy of acting or thinking as though these alternate realities are happening as a result of concrete decisions or conceptions on a revolving basis in everyday life. According to a Nimidist, it therefore stands that one should practice thinking, imagination, and contemplation centered on positive and affirmational potential realities and avoid conceiving of or envisioning negative, troublesome, or damaging potential realities, as these realities will actually come true for some version of the actors involved in these divergence points within the realm of multiversal reality.

Since destructive or otherwise unfortunate actions bring about an increase in suffering in the world, a Nimidist—like all humanists and Illuminatians in general—should seek to avoid causing such suffering when at all practical to do so. This avoidance of creating suffering should extend to real actions and imagined actions, because both will create a version of multiversal reality that plays-out these divergences. Nimidists make their best attempts to always practice positive thinking to avoid causing unnecessary pain and suffering to the alternate multiversal duplications of themselves as well as their loved ones and all of humanity.

A Nimidist believes they can actively decrease the total sum of pain and suffering in the multiverse by refraining from willingly imagining or conceiving of negative occurrences that would lead to suffering for any person or thing they may interact with, including themselves. Nimidist leaders encourage positive thinking exercises and encourage followers to speak of good and happy conceptualizations to fill the multiverse with happiness. Nimidist mental health practitioners help their patients eliminate negative ideation not only as a means to improve personal emotional health but also to reduce the suffering that is brought to existence within the multiverse. Nimidist authors and thespians create stories of happy and joyous realities as a ritual of creation of non-suffering and also to assist others in bringing these positive outcomes into existence somewhere in the multiverse.

The basis if Nimidism is furthermore formed by the understanding that further interactions between multiversal duplications are possible because such an interaction happened in the past as a result of the Lucidus termination event. Therefore, one should avoid creating multiversal realities in which these multiversal duplications of individuals or their environments are less well-off than they might otherwise have been.

Adherents of Near-Infinite Multiversal Ideational Differentiationism consider their multiversal duplicates to be a person whom they are personally accountable to and should naturally have substantial compassion for. Psychology and sociology experts assert that the practice of Nimidism also inherently improves one's self-compassion and self-image.
