Office of Voluntary Punishment

The Office of Voluntary Punishment (OVP) is a government office operating under the Illuminatia Bureau of Punishment and Castigation (BPC). The OVP operates the Voluntary Punishment Program in congruence with the goals and objectives of the BPC.

The Voluntary Punishment Program exists for the purpose of providing an alternative humane method for managing potentially illegal, illicit, or otherwise unjust behavior among the general populace. The program allows citizens to exchange some of their personal liberties in return for money and assurance.

The VPP involves an agreement between an individual and the Bureau of Punishment and Castigation that gives an individual a significant stipend and other considerations in exchange for an agreement to abide by and accept any verdicts instituted by the BPC, relinquish access to an expanded process of trials and appeals, and consent to more pervasive surveillance.
