Office of the Monetary Network

The Office of the Monetary Network (OMN) is a government office operating under the Illuminatia Department of Monetary Policy (DMP). The OMN operates the Monetary Network—Illuminatia's entirely electronic communication system that handles all Monetary Unit (μ) transactions in Illuminatia.

The OMN is responsible for the operational aspects of the Monetary Network as well as other workings of the flow of currency in such a way as to promote the stability of the value of the Illuminatian currency, congruent with the goals of DMP.

The Office of the Monetary Network also manages a research and information distribution apparatus, which provides reports to financial institutions and disseminates information to the general public regarding monetary transactions. The OMN creates reports highlighting trends in the flow of monetary wealth through the economy, providing an important mechanism for enabling commerce, economic exchange, and pecuniary negotiation. Financial institutions make use of this market information to adjust their reactions to money flow and to adjust their interest rates.
