River Lester
The River Lester is a flowing waterway of moderate proportions located in southwestern Illuminatia. The River Lester runs southward, with its source in the northern foothills of the Chromatic Range and its terminus into the Periterranean Sea at the city of Clapton.
The River Lester begins in the rolling upland hills that form the northern boundary of the Chromatic Range. The first significant population center near the river's source is the city of Townshend. The Lester flows south from here, with a broad eastward curve before reaching the larger city of Layla, which represents the second-largest population center along the river's course. The river then describes a long and shallow westward meander before reaching the smaller city of Tears-in-Heaven. The River Lester then straightens for a southeasterly course toward the largest and final population center along its length, Clapton, which the river encounters as it empties into a bay of the southern ocean.
The River Lester is named in honor of honor of a historical figure known known for playing a formational role in the early earth-bound planning process for the Lucidus mission.
