Theocracy in Illuminatia

Theocracy is not an observed form of government in Illuminatia. There are no queens, kings, or other heads of state who claim to have a supreme power derived from the grace or blessing of any omnipotent deity or other divine spirit. Per guidelines for human settlement of the Neonisi planet put in place by the Lucidus mission, the government in Illuminatia is instead a system of direct democracy with elements of representative democracy, technocracy, and meritocracy.

While thought traditions are practiced privately and among likeminded groups in Illuminatia and are appreciated as a cultural phenomenon, the tenets of thought traditions do not pervade the governmental or public policy spheres. As deist religions and theism as a whole are not practiced in Illuminatia, there exists no reason for a theocracy to develop and there is no threat of the potential social harms of theocracy befalling the Illuminatian civilization.
