The University of Factual Information (UFI) is a public institution of tertiary education located in Tchaikovsky. The student body, primarily native to north-central Illuminatia, are enticed to UFI by the school's advanced tertiary degree programs in the geographical arts, culinary arts and sciences, and linguistic and lexicological arts, as well as secondary emphases in the human sciences and social arts and sciences.
With a concentration of secondary students from the Anglo-Russo-Hungarian Megalopolitan Complex and other parts of northern Illuminatia and tertiary students attracted from across the Illuminatian continent, the University of Factual Information maintains an enrollment of about 27,600 students.
As with most public universities, UFI collects nearly all of its 3,044,000μ/AU annual revenue from the Bureau of Education and Enlightenment (BEE) and receives oversight from the BEE's Office of Curriculum and Programming (OCP). University of Factual Information students enjoy a nearly 100% placement rate upon graduation thanks the Office of Assessment and Placement (OAP)'s government-assisted career matching system, which matches graduates with places of employment or other educational institutions where they map pursue research opportunities or further higher education.
A secretive organization of UFI students have been known to take part in a periodic terrorizing of Tchaikovsky residents by frequently venturing about amongst the streets of the city during nighttime hours wearing grotesque and comical face masks. The students never actually do anything aside from calmly walk around in public wearing masks, but residents find themselves experiencing feelings of terror and trepidation from the encounters nonetheless. There are no laws or regulations prohibiting the wearing of masks in public in Tchaikovsky or anywhere else in Illuminatia.
