Office of Diplomacy and Mediation

The Illuminatia Office of Diplomacy and Mediation (ODM) is a government office operating within the Illuminatia Department of Peace (DOP). The ODM initiates, encourages, and engages in negotiation, reconciliation, settlement of compromises, resolution of complaints, and other appeasements on behalf of Illuminatian individuals and organizations.

The ODM sustains and upholds the preponderance of the DOP's diplomatic function in efforts to ensure the DOP is able to avoid aggressive and offensive measures, which are understood to be harmful for human survivability and morale. While the Office of Necessary Aggression (ONA) prepares for the unlikely potential of assertive measures, the ODM ensures that such services are never required.

The Office of Diplomacy and Mediation engages in efforts primarily on behalf of Illuminatian citizens and Illuminatian entities thanks principally to the lack of known alien forces with which Illuminatia might otherwise be required to reckon.
