The Illuminatia Office of Gaming and Gambling (OGG) is a government office operating within the Illuminatia Bureau of Commerce and Trade (BCT) tasked with ensuring fair and honest transactions among betting and gambling operations in Illuminatia.

As the BCT was established, the Illuminatian public recognized that the level of risk involved in running lotteries and other betting apparatuses would be higher than nearly any other type of trade, regardless of whether gambling took place under a legal or illegal context. Therefore, the BCT was given the authority to legalize gambling in Illuminatia once the bureau was able to establish a regulatory structure that would dissuade corruption, reliably detect collusion between bettors and factors capable of affecting the outcomes of the game or situation subject to the betting, enforce of trade norms, establish mechanisms for observation of betting transactions, and provide for the appropriate level of interconnection of gambling oversight. The founding of the OGG occurred after the Department of Monetary Policy (DMP) and the Office of the Monetary Network (OMN) had established the Monetary Network, making universal and immediate electronic surveillance of gambling transactions possible.

The OGG collects information regarding persons and entities that possess the means to exert control over the operations of lotteries, gambling operations, and games and other circumstances that are the subjects of betting activities. The OGG provides systems for this information to be voluntarily provided, as is very common among those who are closely involved in the management and operation of lotteries and gaming outfits, but is also quite common among those involved in the sports industry, as sporting competitions such as National Sportsball League games are frequently the subject of bets and wagers. The OGG also operates systems that acquire this information without the knowledge or consent of individuals or corporations connected to the administration of betting apparatuses as well as those connected to wagered-upon events. The BCT gives the OGG this authority because this portion of gambling regulation was deemed to be of utmost importance in ensuring the fairness and honesty of gambling activities in Illuminatia. Often, bettinghouses and sporting teams voluntarily subject themselves to this scrutiny by the OGG and require their employees and customers to take part in this OGG data collection.

The OGG employs sophisticated mathematical modeling to detect betting anomalies among gambling operations continent-wide. It does this through data linkages that are statutorily mandatory among bettinghouses as well as through real-time analysis of Monetary Network transactions. The OGG cross-references wagers and winnings to events that are commonly wagered upon, particularly competitive sporting events.
