River Holmes
Points of interest: Liszt, Les Préludes, Bartók, Transilluminatian Range, Anglo-Hungarian Bay
The River Holmes is a body of water flowing from southwest to northeast through the alpine forests of northwestern Illuminatia.
The source of the River Holmes and its most significant tributaries is in the northern Transilluminatian Range. From the western foothills of the range, the River Holmes flows northeastward and empties into the Anglo-Hungarian Bay at the city of Liszt.
The River Holmes parallels one of the alternative land routes for transportation between Serenade and the major population centers of Illuminatia's west coast. This northerly route is most popular for transport to cities to the north of the West Coast Megalopolitan Complex such as Puccini, however it is also frequently used for freight and passenger transport when the route involves stops at Rossini.
Significant population centers along the length of the River Holmes include the cities of Liszt, Les Préludes, Bartók, Ligeti, and Smorzando. These cities are primarily populated by descendants of the third multiversal duplication of the Lucidus I ship.
