Third Peninsula University (TPU) is a partially-private institution of tertiary education located in Anthem. Students from across the Timmons Peninsula are attracted to TPU especially for its diplomas in environmental engineering, pharmacology, and other natural and environmental disciplines.
The student body of Third Peninsula University is disproportionately represented by pupils originating from central eastern Illuminatia, particularly parts of the Randall Bay Megalopolitan Complex. Enrollment at TPU has reached 57,000 students.
Students attending Third Peninsula University, as is common among those attending non-public institutions of education, attend this university as a mechanism of evading the strong career path suggestions of the Illuminatian Office of Assessment and Placement (OAP)'s system of academic and occupational placement. Students attending TPU generally forego the tuition stipend normally afforded students by the Bureau of Education and Enlightenment (BEE) and as such the university receives almost no public funding to subsidize its 6,269,000μ/AU budget. However, as with all educational institutions, TPU does receives full regulatory oversight from the BEE's Office of Curriculum and Programming.
TPU is well-known for its student-led initiatives in developing environmentally-sourced pharmacological products which are then voluntarily tested on willing study participants from the general population in Anthem. Occasionally, clinical trials will solicit study participants from nearby cities, including Blue Skies and Van Morrison.
