The Timmons Peninsula is a prominent land formation in eastern Illuminatia, accounting for approximately 10% of mainland Illuminatia's total land mass. The Timmons Peninsula is home to some of Illuminatia's most densely populated metropolitan areas, representing a substantial proportion of Illuminatia's population. The Timmons Peninsula is often colloquially referred to as the "third peninsula," owing to a sequential counting of the four major peninsulas forming Illuminatia's east coast.
The Timmons Peninsula is bounded by Brookeview Bay to the northeast, Randall Bay to the southwest, the Vostonian River valley and the remainder of the Illuminatian mainland to the west, and the eastern ocean to the east. The Timmons Range bisects the peninsula, running from northwest to southeast along the length of the peninsula and terminating in the southeast along the eastern coast near the city of Julie Ann.
Major cities occupying the Timmons Peninsula include Anthem, Greensleeves, and Julie Ann. The peninsula is home to portions of the Randall Bay Megalopolitan Complex and the Brookeview Ludwig Megalopolitan Complex.
The major population centers on the peninsula developed thanks to the particularly densely-spaced landings of survivors from the Lucidus mission, particularly in coastal areas adjacent to Randall Bay. These cities grew from settlements established at these landing sites and set the stage for the modern-day megalopolitan centers now occupying portions of the shores of the Timmons Peninsula.
The Timmons Peninsula is home nearly half of Illuminatia's population of native speakers of the Protolucidian Major language. Population centers on the peninsula are descendants of two distinct but related populations, regionally split from one another by the Timmons Range. Both populations are descended from settlers from the Lucidus II spacecraft, however the population to the south of the Timmons Range originated from the first multiversal duplication of these ancestors, while populations to the north of the division line formed by the mountain range descend from the second multiversal duplication of these foreparents from the Lucidus II ship.
Populations living in the cities adjacent to the River Modest are primarily descendants of the third multiversal duplication of settlers from the Lucidus III ship.
