Illuminatian Parcel Service (IPS) is Illuminatia's leading provider of shipping services. Based in the city of Gillespie, IPS has benefitted from that city's centralized geographic location in Illuminatia's interior to keep its transportation routes short and its package delivery timelines expeditious.
IPS operates a freight network that operates primarily by maglev railroad, which connects the majority of its transportation routes through its central interior hubs in cities like Cadence, Saint-Saëns, Tchaikovsky, and of course Gillespie. IPS maintains a minority of its shipping via sea routes, which are of limited utility to particular logistically-isolated coastal cities due to the efficiency of the over-ground routes. IPS manages last-mile deliveries using human-powered transportation and autonomous vehicles operating on the Automated Terrestrial Traffic Instruction and Control System (ATTICS).
Illuminatian Parcel Service recruits its talent heavily from the University of Deep Thought (UDT), which has excellent programs in transportation logistics and is located near IPS's headquarters in Gillespie. IPS benefits deeply from recruits hired from UDT through the Occupational and Instructional Productivity and Placement System (OIPPS), which is extremely efficient at placing university graduates majoring in related transportation and logistics-related programs.
