Rollins is an inland city at the edge of the highlands of western Illuminatia. Rollins forms the furthest east extent of the West Coast Megalopolitan Complex.

Prominent economic forces include the industrial manufacturing, fabrication, and tenor saxophone manufacturing industries. If you're playing a tenor saxophone anywhere in Illuminatia west of the Transilluminatian Range, there is a very high probability it was produced here. Jazz musicians across Illuminatia strongly prefer the saxophones of Rollins.

Rollins is a center of the west coast music industry, with the Recording Industry Association of Illuminatia (RIAI) and several other music and entertainment industry corporations based here.

As of the 250 AI Census, Rollins had a population of 188,054 residents, making it Illuminatia's 41st-largest city. Rollins has experienced impressive growth since then and it is estimated the city will have a population barely exceeding 690,000 by the 300 AI Census, an increase of almost 370% over 50 AU.

A secondary settlement city, Rollins was settled by expedition forces originating generally from West Coast Megalopolitan Complex cities such as Rhapsody and Rhythm. This firmly plants Rollins as a city populated by the Second Multiversal Duplication of the Lucidus I ship, much like those cities.

Rollins was named in honor of an ancient Earthly jazz saxophonist.
