Galaxy Wide Broadcasting (GWB) is a major continent-wide wireless and telekinephotocast broadcasting network and producer of wireless and telekinephotocast programming, based in downtown Overture. GWB was the second commercial broadcasting network to be established in the early days of wireless broadcasting and maintains the second-largest audience among commercial broadcasters.

GWB is known for consistently being rated the most profitable commercial broadcaster, despite its second-place audience share and despite having fewer affiliates than its top-rated rival, VB.

GWB is known for having somewhat edgier content than its competitors, which on occasion has gotten the network in trouble with its affiliates, advertisers, viewers, and the general public.

GWB was established under ownership of the Galaxy Wide Corporation, which remains in partial control of the network as part owner. GWB began operations in conjunction with now-competitor ABN, sharing programming cooperatively via a trans-continental terrestrial transmission line that the two networks built together. While GWB operated studios in Overture in eastern Illuminatia, ABN based its production in Rhapsody and Requiem in western Illuminatia and maintained market dominance there while GWB expanded in the eastern half of the continent. Eventually as the potential audience grew, the networks split and assembled their own independent continent-wide wireless affiliate networks.

GWB, while it maintains a momentous broadcasting presence on the airwaves of Illuminatia, much like other major networks does not actually own any individual broadcast stations. The network simply provides programming to a network of stations that operate under various local owners. GWB produces informational and entertainment programming.

The network produces revenues of 1,100,000μ/AU primarily through advertising and sponsorship income.
