Ludwig van Channel

Location of the Ludwig van Channel in eastern Illuminatia

The Ludwig van Channel is a major body of water separating Ludwig van Island from the Galant Peninsula and the remainder of the Illuminatian continent. The channel forms a break in the continuity of the Lucidian Range. The waterway is a major shipping passage for routes along the eastern coast of Illuminatia, particularly between port cities like Mozart and Harmony.

The Ludwig van Channel separates the major cities of Für Elise and Beethoven, which together form a cross-channel metropolitan region. The two cities maintain a strong trade and cultural relationship. As a result, the Ludwig van Channel is Illuminatia's most-traversed major body of water.

The coastline surrounding the Ludwig van Channel is populated chiefly by descendants of the third multiversal duplication of the Lucidus population, specifically from the Lucidus II spacecraft. The cities of Beethoven and Für Elise are both primary settlement cities resulting from landings from these ships. Most of the population centers along the coast of the channel are a part of the Brookeview Ludwig Megalopolitan Complex.
