Lucidian Range
The Lucidian Range is a major mountain range in northeastern Illuminatia, forming a spine that runs north-to-southeast, spanning from along the continent's northern shore and terminating on Ludwig van Island. The Lucidian Range rivals the Timmons Range as Illuminatia's second most-significant mountain range. The Lucidian Range contains some of Illuminatia's highest peaks outside of the Transilluminatian Range.
The Lucidian Range forms a natural land barrier between the Wolfgang Amadeus Megalopolitan Complex and the remainder of the continent's non-northwestern preponderance. The range bisects Illuminatia's Galant Peninsula, splitting the peninsula into a southerly portion dominated by the Brookeview Ludwig Megalopolitan Complex and a narrower and somewhat less populated northern portion bounded by Wolfgang Amadeus Bay.
The northern extent of the Lucidian Range runs north-south, paralleling the coast of the Anglo-Hungarian Bay and providing a natural easterly boundary to the growing scope of the Anglo-Russo-Hungarian Megalopolitan Complex. The southern extent of the Lucidian Range runs northwest-southeast, abutting the city of Für Elise before vaulting across the Ludwig van Channel and continuing with a somewhat muted amplitude onto Ludwig van Island, finally terminating toward the southern tip of the island near the city of Valkyries.
The Lucidian Range houses the origins of approximately half of the bodies of flowing water that contribute to two of Illuminatia's major river systems, including the River Harmonica.
